What to know before your first visit

As a teaching institution, we offer a unique and comprehensive care setting. During the first adult patient visit, we provide a screening and take necessary X-rays. The second and third visits are comprehensive oral exams. Your dental treatment plan will then determine the number of appointments that will be needed to complete your procedure(s) and may involve multiple students.

Pediatric visits take less time and fewer sessions, depending on the treatment.

We accept the following insurances:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield MA
  • Cigna
  • Commonwealth Care Alliance
  • DentaQuest
  • Delta Dental (Delta Dental of Massachusetts requires prior-approval before starting orthodontic treatment.)
  • MassHealth (MassHealth only covers orthodontic care for patients under the age of 21 pending prior-approval.)
  • Senior Whole Health
  • Tufts Health Unify Plan

If you have another insurance not listed above, you can "self pay."

Upon completion of each dental procedure, and after you have made payment in full, we will provide you a claim form which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
