We'll take X-rays and conduct your oral screening.
Our team will work with you to determine the best course of action to achieve your dental health goals.
Now it’s time for routine cleanings and preventative care, plus any treatments that may be needed.
As a teaching institution, we offer a unique and comprehensive care setting. During the first adult patient visit, we provide a screening and take necessary X-rays. The second and third visits are comprehensive oral exams. Your dental treatment plan will then determine the number of appointments that will be needed to complete your procedure(s) and may involve multiple students.
Pediatric visits take less time and fewer sessions, depending on the treatment.
Our faculty-student teams take time to really listen and assess your needs. It’s part of the teaching process, where you will benefit from the expert opinions of multiple, experienced dental professionals and specialists.
Pediatric visits often take much less time. Talk to your pediatric dental provider so you can plan ahead.
Payment is due at the time of the appointment. This includes co-payments, co-insurances, or full payment for patients without insurance.
Our prices are lower than most private practices, which makes us a great option for patients who either do not have insurance or want to make their insurance coverage go further.
No, a referral is not required for our Comprehensive Care Clinic.
However, some of our specialty clinics do require or recommend a referral from another provider. Please refer to our specialty clinics list.
After becoming a patient at Tufts University Dental Care Center, you can enjoy priority referrals to our specialty clinics, if needed.
We accept the following insurances:
If you have another insurance not listed above, you can "self pay." Upon completion of each dental procedure, and after you have made payment in full, we will provide you a claim form which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement if your insurance allows for out-of-network visits.
For self-pay patients, we do not offer payment plan options at the Comprehensive Care Clinic. However, patients may apply for financing through LendingClub (soon to become Happen Bank), which offers a range of loan rates.
